We are delighted to offer for sale this iconic Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Sport Targa G50 5 speed manual finished in stunning Guards Red.

Supplied new by Lancaster Porsche Colchester in November 1987 (as a 1988 model year) this particular 911 was factory ordered in Guards Red with a black targa hood and linen and black leatherette interior with Linen leather inlays. The additional factory fitted options include Sport Equipment, recoil bumpers, Forged alloy wheels, rear window wiper, front and rear spoilers, Sport shock absorbers, high fidelity package with an eight speaker system and amplifier, trimmed luggage compartment in black velour carpet, rear seat belts, Blaupunkt Toronto radio cassette player, Sports seats with electric height adjustment and Can Can piping to the front seats.

This particular 911 is a true testament, not only Porsche’s build quality, but mostly to its impeccable provenance of maintenance over the last 36 years which includes every MOT certificate since 1996, the original service book, book pack and two sets of keys. It is also a matching numbers car that was awarded a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Porsche GB in May 2017.

The extensive history file is a fascinating read and details some twenty three oil service visits, MOT visits, numerous other servicing and mechanical repairs, tyre replacements, pre purchase inspection reports, numerous brake, suspension and exhaust maintenance works and repairs to name but a few. There are also details of various cosmetic paint repairs carried out including replacement sills, b posts and Targa frame work and photographs of wax oil treatments to the underside which were carried out in 2015. It is one of the most extensive history files we have seen in some time and helps to verify not only the mileage but also the care and maintenance this particular 911 has enjoyed over the years!

We had the pleasure of supplying this vehicle to the current custodian back in 2017. Since then the vehicle has covered just 4,000 miles and has been meticulously maintained, regardless of cost, including regular servicing work, a top end rebuild, replacement front and rear brakes, a new battery, starter motor and various replacement parts and repairs which are all detailed within the history file.

The condition of the exterior paintwork is in beautiful condition with no corrosion or visible blemishes. The interior is, from what we can tell, completely original which only adds to the character of driving a classic car. The history file, is as we’ve mentioned before, extensive, and a rare addition to any classic vehicle.

In summary, an 80’s icon that’s not only a beautiful piece of art but also a very usable classic supercar!
